Susan Bryant is an advocate for doctors’ mental health from Brisbane, Queensland. When her husband, Dr Andrew Bryant, took his own life in May, 2017, she wrote an email to try to explain what had happened to friends, family and colleagues. Within a few days, her words had been read by hundreds of thousands of people around the world. Her email was republished and discussed online and off; both inside and outside the medical profession.
